Four kilometres of soft pale sand and shallow turquoise water, edged with tamarisk trees and a handful of easy-going beach tavernas. Borrow a parasol from us and you are there in two minutes, barefoot.

Thick yogurt with thyme honey, warm village bread, tomatoes and cucumbers from the garden, local cheeses, eggs your way, and strong Greek coffee – served slowly, under the vines, until you are ready to face the sea.
